What patients say on Google

“I normally do not leave reviews, but after the last two weeks, I feel like I need to warn others about my experience here. The receptionists were consistently rude and dismissive anytime I called needing simple help. On top of that, the psychiatrist was extremely late to multiple appointments to the point where I had to leave because I could not keep waiting. After these appointments went poorly, I requested that a manager call me back. Days went by with no response, so I finally called again myself, only to be told the manager had seen the note and simply never called me back. That alone showed me how little concern there is for patients here. When I finally spoke with the doctor about everything that had happened, instead of showing empathy or professionalism, she blamed me and said it was my responsibility to keep calling earlier, even though I felt the office should have reached out as healthcare professionals. The conversation became even more concerning when the topic of self harm came up. Her response felt completely tone deaf and dismissive. She seemed uninterested and was prepared to end the call without even properly addressing something that serious. Mental health care should be compassionate, responsive, and safe. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel unheard, unsupported, and honestly shocked by the lack of care and professionalism shown throughout the office. DO NOT waste your time and money here.”

“I recently visited Dr. Shabnam Shahriyari in the Sunny Hills Behavioral Health Center for the first time regarding a sleep issue, and I had an excellent experience. What truly stood out to me was her thoughtful and patient approach. Unlike many providers who immediately turn to prescriptions, she took the time to thoroughly explain what might be causing my symptoms and educated me on practical, natural solutions—especially around improving sleep hygiene. I really appreciated that she prioritized non-medication strategies first and only then discussed over-the-counter options, making sure I felt informed and comfortable every step of the way. She never made me feel rushed, and she listened carefully to my concerns. Dr. Shahriyari is not only knowledgeable but also warm, kind, and genuinely attentive. It’s clear that she cares about her patients’ well-being and takes a holistic approach to care. I left the appointment feeling reassured, empowered, and optimistic about improving my sleep. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a provider who is both compassionate and thorough.”

“I have had 2 appointments with Dr Gudapate, and they were both very satisfactory. She was informative and I felt she had my best interest in mind. The staff was very efficient and accommodating. I am happy to have found your clinic. Gloria G Clark”

“I am very upset about my services provided here. I decided to seek help for my mental health after a very stressful turn of life events in the last year. My first problem occurred trying to continue medication i was taking for years getting told to get retested for authorization. Completed what was required and was told more testing was upcoming but needed to be scheduled. Fast forward 2 months later and still nothing has been accomplished with this issue. Then i also started to see a therapist to help get through a depressive episode of having to change careers due to injuries and my mental health issues. The services provided were very unprofessional and in fact made my situation worse than it was to begin with. The very first session started out with the therapist saying i hope your availability is only available for this one day and time slot. Then asked why i was here explaining my situation and responded with well i cant help you with this. I decided to still see the therapist for a month and every session was filled with the same two cliche responses “treat yourself like you would treat others” and we need healthier coping skills instead of unhealthy coping skills. Nothing was taught to me in regard to handling both of those. I felt i was an inconvenience in the therapists schedule at first but then this was proven when the therapist left mid way to pick glasses up, atleast the therapist offered to do the rest of it by phone call while driving. I have gone for mental health treatment at other locations and have not had these issues there. Im seeking help else where.”
