What patients say on Google

“Everyone from billing, to referrals, supervisors and anyone else I’ve spoken with has been extremely nice and helpful. They’ve always called me back the same day and I never had to wait. One of the supervisors names Jessica did so much to ease my anxiety in my transition over to Mindpath. Every question I had she found an answer to, everything I needed she found a way to get it done, everything time I called she took the time to reach back out and never rushed the conversation. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to find compassion, understanding and be treated like a person and not just another client they can bill.”

“Watch out for Mindpath's sneaky policies! I was dropped as a patient after going here for years because I missed 2 appointments in a row. Not only was I dropped as a patient of Joshua Burgett's, but I am completely blacklisted from going to Mindpath ever again. For missing 2 appointments. This policy might be in the "fine print" somewhere, but the cancellation policy only says that you will get a fee if you miss an appointment. In an old email it said a provider "may" drop you if you miss 2 appointments, but Joshua said it was automatic and "Corporate Policy." When I got a text reminder about missing my appointment it only warned me that I would have to pay a fee if I missed another appointment. It's unfortunate because I enjoyed having Joshua as a psychiatrist before all this. I'm not sure if there's some reason they don't make this policy more obvious or send out more accurate reminders. Both the office staff and Joshua were cold and businesslike about the whole thing which is to be expected but still dehumanizing. It really is a funny way to treat people who are getting treatment for mental health conditions. May we all someday get the care we need without having to hear the word "corporate" ever again.”

“Mindpath completely failed my son. He is 15, struggling with depression and self-harm, and he asked for help. After being told he was a good candidate for medication, they abruptly refused to treat him because of recent self-harm and pushed him into higher care. It was incredibly difficult to get clarification or communication from the rude office staff on any of this, but we were willing to move forward. At no point were we told that this also meant the end of all services with Mindpath. The following week, we received an appointment confirmation for his ADHD evaluation. We took time off work and school to attend. When he logged in, the appointment had been canceled without any notice, and despite confirming the appointment 3 days prior. After calling, we were again met with rude staff and told that because his primary provider would no longer see him, no other providers would either. My son did exactly what we hope kids will do: he spoke up, engaged, and was open to help. To have that met with inconsistency, poor communication and ultimately dismissal, has absolutely shaken his trust in the people who claim they are there to help him. This experience left my son feeling betrayed and ashamed for reaching out. Mental health providers should not make vulnerable kids feel worse for asking for help—but that’s exactly what the have done to my child.”

“Working and being in society created a need for people to seek help to get rid of all the negativity that spreads like wildfire into every aspect of one's life. I am dealing the best way I can with everyday frustrations and dealing with myself wouldn't be possible without a therapist. Highly reliable therapists that help restore one's well-being from the inside out.”
