What patients say on Google
“I would not recommend Dr. Rani Barba or this practice (Dymphna TMS) to anyone seeking competent neurological care. My Summary (I apologize if this is long, I want to be transparent and thorough) I saw Dr. Rani Barba. I arrived 10–15 minutes early for my appointment with Dr. Rani Barba, having already completed all required paperwork in detail. Rather than reviewing that information ahead of time—as her office easily could have requested via fax—she spent the first 30 minutes of our session simply rereading the forms and asking questions that were already answered. When we finally discussed my concerns, she fixated on ruling out conditions that I had already clarified I did not have, instead of exploring the neurological symptoms that brought me there. Her focus remained on old, irrelevant notes rather than my current issues. I repeatedly tried to steer the conversation toward what was actually happening, but she seemed disinterested and dismissive. I mentioned that, given my recent medication changes and new symptoms, an MRI was standard protocol. She initially refused, offered no explanation beyond “we can repeat one next year,” and only agreed after I firmly insisted. Her only other recommendation was over-the-counter eye drops—something I had to specifically ask for myself. When I expressed disappointment at the end of the visit, she told me to “see a different provider” rather than attempt to resolve anything. To make matters worse, her team later claimed they had placed both a medication order and an MRI referral, but neither showed up in the system at CVS or the imaging center. The entire appointment reflected negligence and lack of preparation. Dr. Barba even spent time drawing a square to “explain” brain function instead of addressing the actual problem. She seemed more interested in teaching generic neurology than in listening to a patient in front of her. I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and completely unsupported after waiting months for this consultation. In short: Dr. Rani Barba showed little curiosity, offered no meaningful guidance, and wasted the majority of our time. Her approach was unprofessional, impersonal, and ineffective. I would strongly advise other patients to seek neurological care elsewhere.”
“Awful. Everything. Communication, customer service, legality - you name it. If your insurance refers you here, do your best to get a transfer, somewhere - anywhere - else. Joseph Delos Reyes is the worst office employee, rude and ignores attempts to call/email. NP Rani Barba was rude and unprofessional. The neurologists seem to only work one day out of the week, and your long-awaited appts will only last 12 min.”
“This office operated primitively, at best. For being a facility that provides psychiatric care, they lack accessibility. I was referred to this place by my PCM for an ADHD evaluation. I had a video appointment with Marilou Cabusao. After spending almost the entire hour on seemingly unproductive conversation without mention of the eval, she proceeds to tell me that she doesn't believe in prescribing controlled medications(ie-meds for something like ADHD, meds that you literally go see a psychiatrist for). She wasted my time and my limited energy and is clearly in the wrong profession.”
“We have been trying to get a simple form filled since January 2024. It's Almost May and we still did not receive the form back nor heard any updates. Joseph Delos Reyes did not call me back or answered my emails. Don't go there. Look for a place where staff respect its clients and their time.”
